Student Requirements

Amizade welcomes all students to apply for our global service-learning programs. The following is some helpful information regarding requirements for participation.
General Eligibility Requirements:

Attendance
Attendance at all course meetings and intercultural travel is required

Application
Students must apply to a program. Acceptance is awarded on a rolling admissions system; please apply as early as possible to ensure your place in a program

University transcript
First year students are welcome to apply to our programs. They must provide a University transcript before they will be formally accepted.

Language
Foreign language is not required on most courses unless indicated in the course description

GPA
A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 is required to participate in a service-learning program. Selection preference is given to students demonstrating higher academic performance

Travel preparation
Students are responsible for securing and the related expense of all travel preparation for their program that may include passport, visa, medical insurance, and immunizations

Amizade policies
Students must abide by all Amizade policies and procedures and information as outlined in the orientation and program materials

Tuition and Fees
Students must provide payment of all fees and tuition bills in accordance with established deadlines
