Students from all Higher Education Institutions are Welcome

Students from any college or university from the United States or abroad can participate on an Amizade Global Service-Learning Program. A few points to consider:

Course enrollment
You will be enrolled in West Virginia University courses and many of the courses are eligible to fulfill your academic requirements at your home institution

Graduation requirements
By working with your home institution’s study abroad office and/or your academic advisor, you can determine which program will best meet your academic goals and graduation requirements

Official transcript
You will receive an official academic transcript from West Virginia University after successfully completing your global service-learning program

Applying
Application procedures are streamlined for your convenience and the Amizade Consortium staff members are available to assist you in the process

Foreign students
As a foreign student, it is possible to participate on some programs without having to secure a US student visa. The program courses are taught online and many on location outside of the US. To learn more about this option, please contact the Amizade Consortium (servicelearning@amizade.org).
